Robert Colangelo – the man whose golden heart shines through
What makes an extraordinary person extraordinary? What is so different about these people? Extraordinary people are also regular people, just like you and me, with a few subtle differences in how they view life. Robert Colangelo is one such guy who just has a different take on life. He does not pay heed to the worldly goodness but is a strong believer of empathetic actions and their results. He loves to be of help to the needy and feels his existence remains unjustified unless he participates in activities where he can help those who need it. This is why he has been performing numerous volunteer tasks for a long time now. He has participated at many volunteering events and performed many tasks to help those who are in need of it.
A resident of Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, Robert Colangelo has lived all his life here and has great appreciation for his birth place. He expresses his love for Toronto through his photography, a hobby he enjoys a lot. In his opinion, Toronto offers many great scenic locations where almost every photographer is bound to get a gorgeous click. His artistic side has driven him to undertake many photography projects and he enjoys each one of them thoroughly.
Robert Colangelo also has a very silent and serene side to him as well. That side shows itself often and when it does, he flies off to the nearest fishing location. He absolutely adores fishing and believes that it is the most peaceful and relieving activities of all time. It makes him happy and energizes him for the future. It helps him release his stress and become less tensed about things. Fishing, in his opinion, is his way to experience a unique kind of serenity.
As calm and artistic he is, there is no denying that he is also a great sportsman. He is an excellent soccer player and has played in a variety of events. He has participated in many important and notable locations including the Toronto High Park FC as well as Ontario Soccer Association. At the former location, he has also worked as a volunteer.
Toronto High Park FC is a community based soccer organization which depends on its volunteers heavily. It tries to make the sport available to many at low cost and promotes the spirit of sportsmanship. Needless to say, Robert and his love for sports swelled even more at the prospect of working for the organization and he ended up contributing to it in a variety of roles. He worked as a coach, he advised them on an administrative level, and played a leading role in the organization of many events. His contributions are worth noting.
He has done more volunteer work as well. The most notable of his other volunteer ventures have been described as follows:
Daily bread food bank Toronto
Those who cannot afford food live lives which are worse than what a regular person could imagine. Robert Colangelo, when presented with the opportunity to help such people, beamed with joy.
He, along with other volunteers, prepared food and served it to the poor. It was a strangely enriching experience for him.
One can only imagine how nice it must have felt to see those poor people eat food till their bellies were gleefully full. Colangelo continues to think that it, indeed, changed him as a person and emphasized the necessity of food in our lives.
However, even more enriching for him was to interact and communicate with different people at the event. He talked to many of them with a good portion sharing their problems with him.
Talking to them changed his perception of things and he felt a sense of happiness because of how he had helped these people.
Toronto Humane Society
His work for Toronto Humane Society in 2013 is also quite important.
Toronto Humane Society gets the support of over 500 on site volunteers who work in a variety of roles. Robert also did the same and was quite a valuable member for as long as he worked.
He took dogs on walks, facilitated cat enrichment events, and fed kittens as well. He was also involved in administrative support and enrichment of special species. He helped organize many events at the society and his opinions were quite sought after.
His experience at Toronto Humane Society has been quite rich, versatile, and vivid. He worked in so many positions, it helped him become the type of person he is now.
Toronto Arts Foundation
Robert Colangelo has many talents and his artistic side loves being surrounded by those with similar inclinations. Music, theater, and visual art are just some of the many arts he likes.
Thus, when presented with the opportunity to work as a volunteer at Toronto Arts Foundation, Colangelo jumped and grabbed it.
In his opinion, it was extremely rewarding to be in such close contact with so many amazing artists.
He organized many events and was able to see these artists work from quite close. It enriched his conscience and increased his circle of friends.
He also learned a lot of things about artsy events and how things need to be managed at such delicate venues. Overall, he believes his experience here has also been quite fantastic!
Robert Colangelo is a man who possesses many talents as well as some of the most amazing qualities. We all, as human beings, can learn a lot from him. It is not a bad thing to try and imbibe certain great things which he has taught us all, the primary one being the spirit of helping others and moving forward for all volunteering ventures. You should never hesitate about helping others.
